born 10 June 1856 in Shokokon, Henderson county, Illinois was the son of Henry Marsden and Jane Vaughn. He died 18 Oct 1938 in Blandinsville, McDonough county, Illinois and was the husband of Carrie L. Welch. They were married 25 Nov 1892 in Pleasant Grove and had eight children.
Charlie's first wife was Amanda Bratt a native of Sweden who bore him three children.
